The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund

Volunteers Needed!

     The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund is a grass roots organization that has been funding research by providing more than forty grants to date, primarily to Stony Brook University in an effort to determine the causes of, improve treatments for and ultimately find a cure for Breast Cancer.

     As a volunteer, your efforts will directly impact the Funds ability to provide research grants to Stony Brook University and other fine academic institutions.  I encourage you to join us as a volunteer.  In return, you will surely find that the work you do is not only self-fulfilling, but is highly valued by others in your community as well.

     Breast cancer now affects one out of seven women in our country, and even more women in parts of Long Island .  The high incidence of breast cancer on long Island is alarming.  Everyone knows more than seven women, so I am asking you to think about that statement for a moment, one out of seven.  More needs to be done and YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

      Your help is needed.  Contributions can be made in many forms.  You can volunteer your time.  Sometimes you might contribute merchandise or a service if you own a business.  Other times contributions are made by attending or sponsoring a fundraising event, such as our golf outing , fashion show, or annual Gala.  Some friends of the Fund contribute to one of our Journals with an advertisement, a dedication to a survivor of breast cancer or a remembrance in memory of a lost loved one.

     If you want to help and your schedule will not allow you to contribute your time, please consider writing a check, which is completely tax deductible, payable to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.  Whatever it is that YOU CAN DO to assist us in raising the funding needed for research, it will be greatly appreciated.
